New communication protocol for IJINUS* instrumentation
AREAL has announced the compatibility of Topkapi with IJINUS** communicating instrumentation using the HTTPS protocol. This new protocol enhances the existing acquisition modes of receiving SMS messages and depositing data files on an FTP server.
This new Webservice-based communication mode is direct (no need to use a third-party platform) and secure. On its own initiative, the instrumentation sends its data to Topkapi via HTTPS requests. An HTTPS server exposed by Topkapi itself receives the requests and integrates the data into its environment. A digital certificate is initially set up between the devices and Topkapi to ensure secure exchanges.
This new communication support is included with Topkapi's IJINUS protocol in version 6.2 from release no. 5288. It is therefore available to all customers with a Topkapi licence under an annual maintenance contract with the IJINUS protocol and is delivered as standard with all new licences with the IJINUS communication protocol.
AREAL and IJINUS have been working together for many years to ensure the interoperability of their respective solutions, with the aim of offering the most integrated systems possible to their joint customers. This new compatibility is the result of this collaboration.
